ShoCore made their return to the live stage after a 10+ year hiatus – and they’re back with a fury! Playing 2 nights at The Bourbon Room in St. Albert, these guys hit the stage like they hadn’t missed a day.
Hot on the release of their new single and video for “Hey, Hey, Rock n’ Roll”, the Vancouver based rockers churned their way through a 16-song set, including classics such as “Rudy”, “Devil Went Down To Georgia” and the fan-favourite “Bonecracker”. They have a new album dropping mid-January, and played several songs of the new cut – “Don’t Let It Bring You Down”, “Lost in Austin Texas”, “Shocker”, and “Taste to Habit”.
The energy these guys exhibited on stage was absolutely phenomenal, and the smiles the band shared during their set just solidified exactly what the band is about; having a good tmie, and playing some good ol’ Rock n Roll. Edmonton fellas Revolution Engine opened up the night, setting the pace with their brand of Rage against the Machine inspired rock, even including a cover of the aforementioned’s hit “Bulls On Parade”. If you havent caught RE live yet, do yourself a favor – these dudes play a tight set that is a ton of fun
